Brenda Willis Sweeney, age 82, peacefully passed from this world into Jesus’ loving arms, with her family by her side on Wednesday, October 19, 2016. Brenda was a talented seamstress, and she loved to quilt. She was a member of a British Society, TBPA, and was born and raised in Nottingham, England. She is preceded in death by husband Raymond Willis, son Stephen Jay Willis, parents Doris and Henry Atherton.
Survived by husband Jack Sweeney, children, Melanie Willis McCurry (David) and Melford Ray Willis, sister Avril Hodges (Graham), sisters-in-law Joan Bloodworth and Carolyn Davis, step-daughter Kathy Anderson, grandchildren Jon (Sylvia), Jeremy, Ben, Deseret (David), Eric, Dylan (Lanesa), and Logan, 13 great-grandchildren and numerous step-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be held Sunday, October 23, 2016 from 12:00 until 2:00 pm with a memorial service at 2:00 pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home.
