Gilbert Truman Morey, Sr., age 86, passed away on Monday, April 25, 2016 at St. Thomas Rutherford. He was born on May 30, 1929 in West Alice, Wisconsin to the late Gayle Lenox and Ruth Harmon Morey. Mr. Morey was a Air Force Veteran and was active in Korea. He was a member of the Mosquito Group. He had a very deep faith in the Lord was a Christian. He had such a big personality and was so outgoing. Gilbert never met a stranger. His grandchildren loved him deeply and misses him already. They always said he was awesome! Gilbert always had a deep and great love for his family. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife Alice Bolado Morey, and his children, Gilbert Morey, Jr. and Gail Greenwood of Washington State and step-children, John Dyer of Georgia, Carol Ann Dyer of Murfreesboro, Holly Ann Roberts of Lebanon, and Joy Ann Reynolds of Mt. Juliet. Several grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive. Graveside services and interment will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery in Nashville at 11:00 am. There will not be any visitation at the funeral home.
