Jimmy Lee Layhew, Sr., age 65, passed away on March 21, 2016. He was a lifelong resident of Rutherford County.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Irvin and Rebecca Preston Layhew, brother, Irvin Layhew and sister, Faye Baxter.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Layhew; daughter, Laurie (Chris) Knight; sons, Jimmy Lee Layhew, Jr., Danny (Loretta) Going, Carl (Jennifer) Pennington, Chris (Samantha) Pennington, Clarence Layhew; brother, James Layhew; sisters, Kathy Rice, Earlene Barnett, Patsi Frazier; Six grandchildren, Blake and Caitlin Knight, Destany and Haley Pennington, and Harley and Shelby Layhew. Fourteen nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2016 from 3pm until 5pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with Memorial service beginning at 5pm.
Murfreesboro Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
